World Para Athletics Championships Trip

25th July 2017
Students who have volunteered to help with play and sports events across the year have been rewarded with a trip to the Olympic Stadium to watch the World Para Athletics championship in July.  There were two separate trips and students watched athletes competing in a variety of events from wheelchair racing to Blind long jump. On Thursday students met Sam Ruddock, Cerabral Palsy shot putt, Holly Arnold who is World Javelin champion and Jonathan Broom Edwards who the Saturday crowd had the pleasure to watch gain the Silver World Medal in the T44 High jump.
The students, (and staff) were impeccably behaved and all agreed what an amazing event it was.
