Play Leader Award

4th July 2019
Two students from Slated Row have been nominated for awards with the Milton Keynes School Sport Partnership.
A student from Wolverton in Year 8 is nominated for the Play Leader award. He has regularly given up two lunchtimes a week to play with the Primary students. A member of staff commented that it was amazing how he engaged with some of the students with complex needs.  His patience was endless and he tried lots of different things to stimulate the young children.
One of the students from Kents Hill is shortlisted for the Sports Leader award.  He has supported PE and sport within school to enable more opportunities for all pupils. He has been a member of the Bucks and Milton Keynes Leadership Academy this year, and started a Boys Active club on a Friday lunchtime.  During PE lessons he will help less able students, if they are struggling.
We wish them both good luck at the awards on Friday July 12th.
