MK School Sports Partnership Awards

In July at MK School Sports Partnership awards one of our Year 11 students from Kents Hill won a cup for the Secondary Young Leader award.   The PE staff nominated him for his-
'Can do' attitude! He started a Boys Active club on a Friday lunchtime to engage some of the less active boys.  In his own lessons he leads warm ups and helps less able members of his class. He has a lovely manner and is always kind and empathetic.
A year eight student from Wolverton was  shortlisted for an award, receiving a certificate for his Lunchtime Play Leader volunteering.

The Give Me 30 Initiative at Kents Hill (encouraging all classes to do 30 minutes activity a day) won a framed certificate for School Project/Innovation of the Year. All KS4 and KS5 are challenged to complete 15 minutes of light intensity exercise, 10 minutes of moderate intensity and 5 minutes of high intensity exercise every day.  The classes have charts in their rooms and a weekly challenge between classes which result in prize each half term for the class who complete the most exercise.  Recently it was Venus and Mercury.

The PE Team are very proud of how much effort our students put into their PE and swimming lessons.
