Girls Active

15th April 2016
Four girls from Slated Row attended a weekend of Girls Active training at Loughborough University recently.  They completed workshops and training in a range of activities from fencing to motivation, dodgeball to leading others.  They have come back to school with increased confidence and raised self esteem. Since then they have taken two assemblies and are compiling a list of extra activities focusing on getting more girls active.

This is what they said on their return. 'Although we had fun, we did feel out of our comfort zone. The weekend made us realise that we can make our own goals and achieve them. Disability does not matter.Size does not matter'.
