Success in Bucks SEND Cross country competition

3rd April 2019
Two boys from Slated Row took part in the Annual Bucks SEND Cross country competition in Beaconsfield on Tuesday 2nd April.  It was a cold and drizzly morning, and the boys were eager to move after a long car journey.  We had a leisurely walk/jog of the course checking out the ground underfoot and noting areas where it was possible to speed up and stretch their legs out, and where to conserve energy on the course.
Our primary boy  went first racing over two laps. He led from the start and showed a high level of fitness. He won in 6 minutes 34 secs and was given a gold medal.
Next was our senior young man who was running for the second year. Last year he was third and he wanted to do better than that. His determination paid off, and after four laps he was 2nd. The photos show him coming out of the wooded section and at the finish line.
Congratulations to both boys on representing Slated Row, and for such magnificent achievements.
